Leslie Nielsen in Conversation at the BFI

The BFI welcome the king of the parody film to the BFI Southbank stage.

He's been referred to as the 'Laurence Olivier of spoofs', with his deadpan delivery and seeming obliviousness to situations rife with slapstick potential.

After a long and rich career in film and TV (taking in Harlow, The Poseidon Adventure and Forbidden Planet), Leslie Nielsen is arguably best known for his later comedy roles, which also include his monumentally inept Lt Frank Drebin in the Naked Gun series. The BFI are very pleased to welcome the king of the parody film to the BFI Southbank stage.
