What is it about London that makes it so special? Why do so many of us call it home? Beyond trademark red buses and the great River Thames, there’s a London that bustles, busies and buzzes – and we’re part of it.
So why not add your voice to the great story of London?
London Recut is an exciting new film initiative and competition open to everyone. Click here and you can explore moving image archive material from the BFI, the London Transport Museum, the Imperial War Museum, London Metropolitan Archives and maybe even from your local borough!
You can then edit the material together – and even add material from your computer’s webcam and microphone – using E-Seq, a user-friendly online editing tool, to produce your own short film responding to life in London today.
Submit it to the London Recut Competition, where you could win the chance to edit your film professionally and see it on the big screen – at Rushes Soho Shorts Film Festival – and as part of a special touring programme throughout the London region. You could also win a spanking new Flip camera!
